- FastSoft, Inc. is a privately funded company located in Monrovia, CA, just 15 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles. Our founders, Dr. Steven Low and Dr. Cheng Jin, are well known leaders in advanced networking research. Dr. Low and his Caltech research team developed some of the earliest mathematical theories for the understanding and control of large-scale networks. This research has lead to the invention of a new approach to moving large packets of information across the Internet called FastTCP™. For the past 4 years FastTCP™ was used to break the world record for the fastest sustained data transfer rates at the Supercomputing Network Bandwidth Challenge. In 2005's competition it reached a sustained throughput level of 101 gigabits per second. This phenomenal rate is the equivalent to transmitting the entire contents of the Library of Congress in 15 minutes.
