I live in Aldinga Beach, South Australia, situated 45 kilometres south of the City of Adelaide. A rapidly growing outer suburb positioned between the hills and the sea. Many grapvines dot the landscape and for the wine lover over 60 cellar doors offer wine tastings and sales. Aldinga Beach is renowned for its long sandy beach, where beach enthusiast are allowed to drive their car on the beach, park and enjoy a swim, picnic and barbeque, sunbathe and perhaps have a game of beach cricket. My interest in writing children's stories has covered many years; never stifle the child in you. For inspiration for the Matthew stories I delved back in History, I found the Culloden period in Scotland immensly interesting and the French Foreign Legion legend fascinating.
