Debora Ferrari Haines completed her M.A. in Translation Studies at The University of Manchester (Dissertation: Translating Linguistic Variation: An Analysis Applied to Alice Munro's 'Images'); her B.A. in Sworn Translation at the Universidad del Museo Social Argentino; and another B.A. in English Literature at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. She also has a Certificate in Interpretation, and has participated in numerous professional development courses.
Debora has worked in translation and language-related services for the past six years, in the UK, New York and Buenos Aires. Her broad experience includes technical translation for both Public and Private sectors, teaching Spanish and EFL, as well as editing and proofreading. Debora is fully fluent in English and Spanish, has a good knowledge of Portuguese and is highly IT literate. Her specific skills include excellent writing, analytical and organisational skills; and a commitment to the highest standards of quality and accuracy, including attention to detail and the ability to work to strict deadlines.
Debora is Associate Member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting, the UK's professional association of translators, and Member of the Association of Translators of the City of Buenos Aires.
