This site came about because of a chain of events started by Stuart Banner who posted a message on the Fylde Coast BBS looking for Glyn Jones.
I was trawling around on the web, Google-searching for any references I could find on Fleetwood Grammar School and not having much luck. There were only a few references, mainly with no relevant connection between 'Fleetwood' and 'Grammar' or 'School'. Only Stuart's posting was visible. Having an idea as to how search engines work, I created a new posting with the words 'Fleetwood Grammar School' in the title and this message seemed to spawn off a few more replies - maybe the search engine indexing was working, maybe not, who knows?
After trading emails with a few old pals, it was apparent that several of them were at the reminiscing stage and would like to see a Web Site devoted to the place, but were not equipped to either create, nor host one. As I work with the 'web' for a living, I have the contacts and resources to be able to host a web site, no problem.
