The site creator got the idea to create a Final Fantasy site on December 6, 2005. Bahamut, as he is known, was playing FFIII, and was stuck. So of course he went online to find a site with the stats of the boss he was facing. He could not find anything that would help him. He could not understand how there were sites out there claiming to be the ultimate source in Final Fantasy, yet they did not cover one of the most important games of the series. His friend laughed and said: "What are you going to do about it? Build a website?"
Almost five years later Final Fantasy Kingdom has grown even beyond the scope of the webmaster's mind. There is more information poured into that site, than you can shake a Chocobo at. Enemy stats, weapons and armor, guides, misc info, anything you might want to know about a particular title.
In 2008, Final Fantasy Kingdom expanded into other titles. Castlevania has gained the second largest coverage of the site, followed by Super Mario Brothers, and Disney game titles. The expansion might seem a bit odd, but Bahamut said he has always loved Castlevania, as well as the first four Mario games. Disney he said was opened because of The Lion King, and his love for animated films.
Kingdom Hearts was placed in, in the beginning of 2009. It was said to be a work in progress for the last year and a half. It covers all of the Kingdom Hearts titles, that have been released, as well as touching on the three new titles due out in the next few years.
"Kingdom Hearts was more fun to do, but it was more difficult at the same time. I wanted to get everything just right. Not only to please the FF fans, but the Disney fans as well. I could not have asked for a better marriage of the two things I love most than what was created with Kingdom Hearts. I want to do it the right justice"
There appears to be no sign of slowing down for this website, or its creator. There is still much more to come from Final Fantasy Kingdom.
