- A History of TADROSS & ZAHLOUTE
- Naumi Tadross founded the Oriental Rug Company of Tadross & Zahloute in 1897, in New York City, importing and distributing to merchants in America. Naumi also had his own looms in Sultan Abad, Iran, and Tientsin, China, where rugs were woven to his specifications. The principles in Michigan were Naumi's nephews Naseem and Saliba Zahloute, brothers. Naumi was very interested in health and owned three hotels with public mineral baths located in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. The rug company was also located there and deliveries were made by horse and buggy.
