FinerWorks.com was originally established as a way for artists and photographers to create archival quality giclee ("zee-clay") prints on demand and online. This same method also allows non-artists just wanting their favorite snapshot to easily have small to large prints produced on canvas or quality papers. No setup cost or minimum number is required. You just submit a digital file of your picture, and choose your print options from several canvas or paper types we offer.
A giclee (pronounced "zee-clay") comes from the French word, "fine spray". It is a digital print that is produced by the application of millions of tiny ink droplets sprayed onto fine art paper or canvas. The archival based inks used are specially formulated so that the fine print heads spray droplets at a resolution of 1200 dpi. The media used is also of archival grade to last 100 to 200 years. The visual quality of the print is extremely high and the color saturation and definition stunning. Since printing is of “photo quality” the quality of the print’s appearance is directly related to the quality of the image provided. We offer giclee prints on both canvas and paper.
