board is comprised of 15 board members from all facets of the horticulture industry, from production to retail to the trade press. Board members are an integral part of FIRST as they bring in several years of expertise in the horticulture industry, donate much precious time, and help spread the awareness of throughout the industry.
board and serves in several capacities. Board members serve on several committees including finance, publicity, and nominations committees as well as doubling as scholarship and research grant application reviewers.
board members meet three times each year; January, July, and October. Their board meeting is typically planned to occur during or before an industry event such as the Tropical Plant Industry Expo or the OFA Short Course.
