About FirstMutual.com

At the close of business on February 1, 2008, First Mutual Bank joined Washington Federal Savings as the company’s Eastside Division. First Mutual was founded in 1953 by F. Kemper Freeman, Sr. and other local business people who saw a need for banking services, particularly mortgage financing, in the growing communities of the Eastside. Originally named Eastside Savings & Loan Association, the company became publicly traded in 1985 and operates 12 branches in Puget Sound.
