King Edward VI Five Ways School has had a long and successful tradition of being one of the elite chess schools in Birmingham. In January 2007, Alex Holowczak came up with the idea of creating this site, and together with some of his A Level IT friends, this site was planned. When okayed by the school, it was launched. There has always been a chess club at Five Ways, held for many years in the privacy of E1, before relocating to R5 when Mr Wright left in 2005.
