Description edit
About Flat-Screen-TV.INFO
The term, "flat screen tv", refers to the curvature of a television's screen--or, in this case, the lack thereof. Generally, flat screen televisions is used to refer to tv's of the plasma and liquid crystal (or LCD) persuasion (which should really be correctly referred to as "flat panel televisions"). However, any television with a completely flat viewing surface can be referred to correctly as a "flat screen tv". Included also in this category are projectors that project a perfectly flat viewing screen onto a wall or other surface.
The focus of this site is on the newer generations of flat screen tv's coming onto the market - namely, plasma tv's, lcd tv's and projection tv's and projectors. Major manufacturers of these new types of television include Sony, Fujitsu, Pioneer Electronics, Philips and Panasonic. Plasma, lcd tv and new-generation rear-projection televisions have the advantages of being exceptionally thinner and brighter than cathode-ray tube televisions and, more so each year, the cost of owning one is dropping.
If you decide to purchase a new generation flat screen tv, either a plasma, lcd or rear-projection tv, you'll find extraordinary color, clarity and brightness that you've likely never experienced before. Moreover, most of these new televisions are either high-definition tv (hdtv) or hdtv-ready, which means that they are compatible with the new standard in television broadcast.
