Florida Wildflower Advisory Council
Description
Excerpted from the website:
- History
- Many of us involved with gardening and native plant landscaping in our yards, our parks, our roadways, and other public spaces, have talked for years about how to expand our efforts to educate the public on the value of native plants and wildflowers. Perhaps the most basic challenge we face in expanding the use of natives is learning what will flourish under cultivation in Florida’s distinctive landscapes. While terrific ideas and knowledgeable people are plentiful in Florida, and native-plant propagation has increased, we haven’t had a centralized forum for supporting and sharing cultivation research.
