Back in 1992 our company name 'the flying lizard' became… Although it was not until 1997 that what we do and can create for you materialized into a place, name and team.
Going back, the name began in london where Dayne Smith had been doing the big 'OE' after freelancing his arse off around the town of London - decided it was time to make a business for himself. So sitting in a smoke filled london pub, yaking with a good friend the venerable Mike, Dayne realised the name. Piecing it together goes along something like this:
All pubs in London are the something of something, somewhere ie the blue boar, the flying rabbit with gun. Dayne, a kiwi traveling – aka flying around. Also no one at that time could make out what a Tuatara is, so there you have it the creation of the name – a business was formed.
