Description
Things have been going not-so-well in Fontosaurusland the last couple of years. For a large part of that time, I've been trying to implement a new eCommerce system. First, I tried rolling my own in PHP, which turned out to be a complete disaster. Then I went the Open Source route. CubeCart didn't hack it, and osCommerce was a debacle best left unspoken of.
So for now, I am going to stick to selling through third-party vendors, such as MyFonts. (I'll be adding a ton of fonts there in the days ahead.)
I'm going to try to balance the need for a new website with the need for producing new fonts. The new site is being implemented via Ruby on Rails, which is turning out to be a very powerful development platform. ANd in the last six months, I've started sketches of 20 new fonts, all of which I hope to finish this year.
