- Footsteps Clothing was born out of admiration, love and respect for our own daughters when they began raiding our closets, trying on our dresses, jewelry and shoes exclaiming, "I want to be like my Mommy!" What mother doesn't adore hearing those words? When we went out to purchase matching outfits, we discovered there was little to no mother-daughter matching apparel out there. Marci is the mom of three adorable girls: a 4 year-old and 1 year old twins. Amber is the proud mom of a 5 year-old beautiful girl and also an 8 year-old boy. Marci and Amber are friends and neighbors and our company is headquartered in Cary, North Carolina.
