edit Exotic Bird's Available at Forest Park Aviaries
Forest Park Aviaries publishes listings of available birds regularly on external websites, namely: BirdBreeders.com and Hoobly.com. Check out the clickable banner/image links below for full exotic bird descriptions offered by Forest Park Aviaries. Dr.Geoff's Blog can also be referred to for early publication of significant exotic bird developments and availabilities within their nursery.
edit Customer Care & Guidance
Forest Park Aviaries works hard with their bird-loving customers before they actually purchase a pet, or a breeder bird, to ensure that their eventual "bird of choice" is the right one for them and their familiy. The process starts by exchanging e-mails that include pictures of various baby birds taken in Forest Park Aviaries' nursery. This helps aid the selection and also provides the customer with early pictures of their developing baby during the weaning process. This enables customers the ability to begin documenting/scrapbooking the life history of their particular bird. When the bird is ready to leave FPA, all the necessary airline shipping/scheduling to get the birds to their destination are provided for. Forest Park Aviaries offers airline shipping (preferably by Delta Pets First) nationwide. For local customers, at completion of the transaction, FPA spends time with them "around their kitchen table" at the Aviary location in Columbia Station, Ohio, to discuss bird transition matters and general home care of the bird.
edit FPA's Main Aviary & Nursery
When the baby birds are removed from their nest-boxes in FPA Breeder Aviary, they are transferred directly into a “closed” Nursery – a dedicated environmentally-controlled area remote from the Aviary buildings. Here, the hand-feeding (Kaytee Exact formula is used, with individual dropper feedings throughout the weaning program) takes place. Socialization, including introduction to toys, etc., then becomes an ongoing process until the weaned youngster leaves for his/her new home.

| “ | I recently traveled five hours to pick up a parrotlet from Geoff and Dixie, and it was worth every minute. Not only were they extremely informative and helpful, but they also provided me with a contact who is extremely knowledgeable regarding parrotlets. My parrotlet is a happy, healthy, and sociable little bird and I feel confident knowing that if I have any problems or questions Geoff and Dixie will readily answer them. | ” |

| “ | What can say? "CHIRPPPPPRP!" "Larry" was a gift for my husband, but he has slowly found that he prefers me. He must have his cuddle time, wedged around my neck between 8 and 9 pm every evening. He loves frenchfries and kiwi and never wants to go back inside his cage. We love him and this is because Geoff and Dixie did such a great job raising him. They would be proud of their son. Thanks so much! | ” |
