Family Planning Advocates Of NYS

Family Planning Advocates of New York State is a non-profit statewide membership organization dedicated to protecting and expanding access to a full range of reproductive health services. We represent and are primarily funded by New York's Planned Parenthood affiliates, with additional support from member family planning clinics and dozens of sister organizations, as well as thousands of individual members across the state.
With full-time, year round headquarters in Albany, we are actively engaged in policy analysis, legislative work, coalition building and educational efforts. We work with and support pro-choice Democrats and Republicans.
FPA conducts field activities across New York State, helping to build coalitions and stimulate pro-choice grassroots organizing. On behalf of our members, we communicate with the Governor's Office and state agencies, especially the Department of Health, to promote reproductive health services. We also work to guide member organizations through the uncertainties of a rapidly changing healthcare environment.
