Fidelity Residential Solutions was founded in 1979 as a division of Safeco Title Insurance Company. Our purpose at that time was to assist the relocation industry by ordering title searches on a nationwide basis. In 1987, Chicago Title and Trust Company acquired Safeco Title Insurance Company. Safeco Title Insurance Company became known as Security Union Title Insurance Company.
