It was close to my husband's birthday 2002 when I decided to surprise him with his own web site based on the athletic life of his father, Frank C. Wykoff - Olympic Champion 1928, 1932, and 1936.
I wondered ...How do I recapture the thrills of my father-in-law, Frank Wykoff -- at his exciting moments in time over 74 years ago, and present it to a "space age" audience?
The newspaper accounts of his great athletic accomplishments were fading and discoloring; however, I had an advantage -- I discovered the miracle of a scanner, and learned the skills of creating a web site via a home correspondence course.
