Description
FreeCAD.com was created to help you find free programs for engineers, architects and designers. There are many excellent CAD, CAM and CAE programs that are being given away. Many are fully functional programs that rival commercial products that cost thousands of dollars. However, finding these programs may not have been easy -- until now!
To qualify for a listing on FreeCAD.com, a program must be available to the general public for free. Programs must be useable for at least 180 days. After 180 days, the vendor has the right to terminate the use of the program. A 180 day period is deemed sufficient to learn the program as well as do productive work. Also, programs listed are stand alone programs, not add-ons. (Add-ons are listed in our CADdepot.com site.)
FreeCAD.com intends to be the most complete source for free CAD, CAM and CAE programs in the world. If you know of a program not listed, please let us know by using the "Suggest a Program" link at the bottom of every page.
