This site started out as a way for me to learn php. The first version was released in the fall of 2000 and only included a handful of sites. This was before RSS became the force it is today, so most of the feeds were scraped. With the advent of RSS/Atom, agregating feeds is now a very easy process. Some may wonder what freshnews aims to achieve with the plethora of RSS aggregators out there. The main reason this site still exists is that it still serves the purpose I built it for. It's still a fast, easy way to get your fill of tech news. Enjoy!
