Fury-Tech.com has been operating for three years with one goal in mind: to share knowledge and experiences in the tech world and have some fun while we're doing it!
Actually, the roots of FT go back to nearly 1998, when I was getting more familiar with HTML and started maintaining a small web site on a free host somewhere to share small write-ups, images, links, and whatever else I had. Back then free hosts were all the rage and easy to find, but eventually I got bored and started my own Slackware Linux server. After migrating my little web site to the new server and obtaining a dynamic DNS address somewhere, I started getting into Perl with a vengeance. After developing an entire bulletin board system (which by today's standards wouldn't exactly knock vBull out of the market, but I'm telling you I lived and breathed this thing for almost a year :)), I had a disaster.
A severe power surge in my apartment somehow wiped out the motherboard, hard drive, RAM, and the spare drive I was keeping (very intermittent) backups stored on.
