Futuretel Digital Imaging, LLC (FDI) is a California company created to design, develop and manufacture the FDI SmartCam System™. FDI's products are distributed through existing market channels and through strategic partnerships and OEM arrangements.
The SmartCam System is an intelligent IP-based high-resolution digital optical and audio surveillance system which utilizes an open standards based Linux platform to provide the features most in demand by security specialists throughout the world.
The jewel of the system is the SmartCam™, a highly programmable IP-based digital surveillance camera, small in size, but capable of all of the optical flexibility of HDTV. The camera encodes and records up to one weeks worth of DVD quality video and audio on a hard drive contained in the camera. The encoder is part of a highly versatile computer used for onboard application processing. The onboard computer also functions as a standalone web server.
