Far West Specialty Woods is a team of woodworkers who appreciate beautiful figured maple and have a passion for sustaining Earth's natural resources. As wood artisans ourselves, we get the most out of what the wood has to offer. We sell a wide range of wood supplies for a wide range of applications and budgets. We also sell wood in a wide range of conditions and sizes from green slabs to kiln dried stocks, with and without flaws.
FWSW began as a fledgling company three years ago under the name, RecoFOR LLC. In the last year, we have reorganized and expanded our operation. We have invested in new equipment, a new web site and moved into a significantly larger warehouse.
As RecoFOR, we sold over 12,000 board feet of high quality figured maple and other specialty wood. In the process, we learned a lot about supplying figured wood. As a young, upstart specialty wood supplier, we've received an enthusiastic and supportive response from our customers. That success and your encouragement have made it possible for us to take the next step in the growth of our business.
