Nathan Enns started FyberSearch (both the business and the technology) in November 2003. Instead of taking the traditional rout of developing the technology, releasing it for beta testing and having an official launch FyberSearch progressed quite differently. Nathan assumed that a search engine would always need to be improved. So he decided to look at FyberSearch as a never ending work in progress and continues to do so to this day.
FyberSearch started as a simple tool for Nathan's website design business called "Fyberation". At that time FyberSearch was so new it hardly resembled a search engine. From that point on Nathan focused in on FyberSearch and decided to close Fyberation.
FyberSearch was actually Nathan's first programming project. Nathan started/managed a business, learned how to program PHP, gained knowledge in marketing/sales, read about existing search engine models, developed unique search technology, came up with unique advanced search features all while focusing on his core web search engine called FyberSearch. Labeling it as a learning experience would be quite an understatement.
