- The Jordan Planetarium offers public and private astronomy programs covering science and space topics of interest to all ages. This is the oldest planetarium in Maine located near Bangor in Orono, the home of the University of Maine. The Jordan Observatory house telescopes and holds star gazing for all on weekend evenings. Chldren and adults enjoy the planets, moon, and sun viewed indoors on the planetarium dome and outside at the campus observatory both.
