Financial

In the financial arena, GE provides numerous financial services to consumers and retailers, including credit cards, loans, mortgages, deposit and savings products, and other products. GE also offers a variety of commercial financial services, including commercial loans, leases, and other financial services to manufacturers, distributors, and end-users for various equipment and capital assets.

Infrastructure

GE’s infrastructure segment manufactures a variety of transportation and energy related products. GE manufactures jet, turboprop, and turbo shaft engines; aircraft engine replacement parts; aircraft engine derivatives; wind turbines; gas and steam turbines, generators; oil and natural gas compressors and turbines; diesel-electric locomotives and parts; and productivity solutions for commercial and municipal water systems.

Healthcare

In the fast-growing healthcare segment, GE manufactures equipment used for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed and positron emission tomography imaging, X-ray, patient monitoring, cardiology diagnostics, nuclear imaging, ultrasound, bone densitometry, anesthesiology, oxygen therapy, neonatal care, and critical care.

Industry

GE’s industrial segment manufactures and markets products used in most homes and offices. Such offerings within GE’s diverse industrial product line include home appliances; lamp products; electrical distribution and control products; and motors and control systems used in a variety of consumer products.

The industrial segment of GE also makes a variety of products for commercial applications. These include commercial lighting systems; plastics and structured products; protection and productivity solutions; handheld and portable field calibrators; equipment for detection of material defects; stand-alone measurement instrumentation; and systems for validating or certifying commercial and industrial processes.

Media

GE also owns NBC Universal. This media segment provides network television services; produces television programs; produces motion pictures; operates television broadcasting stations; owns and operates various cable and satellite networks; and operates theme parks and related hospitality services.
