pulled from site's meta descriptionGeePeeEx Editor is a specialised editor for the .GPX files that are used by Garmin's POILoader (V2.5.4) to produce .GPI Points-of-Interest (POI) files for the Garmin range of Satellite Navigation systems. Though POILoader can use CSV input, the full potential is only realised when using .GPX input files. Since .GPX is a dialect of XML, it is not recommended to try and edit them using a normal text editor. An editor that understands both the GPX format and the way Garmin's POILoader interpretes them is required. GeePeeEx Editor was born out of the author's failed attempts at using generic XML editor's and GPX editors that had been written with other units in mind. Although GeePeeEx Editor is primarily targetted at Garmin's POILoader, it can access Garmin GPSr's directly and manipulate so-called Favourites (Favorites). These can be useful for more dynamic POI information. Using the inbuilt Geocoding, Google Mapping and direct unit access, GeePeeEx Editor is fully functional, even in its Trial Version.
