Charlotte Fox and Charneice Fox founded Genesis Events/Genesis Poets to provide a venue for local poets, storytellers and oral historians.
Genesis is a collaboration with Kymone Freeman (founder of the Black Luv Festival), Jarius, Conscious and the Darker Brother, all local Spoken Word Artists. This collaboration includes numerous others who have given their time, their respective businesses and endless support; they believe in sharing in a dream.
Our purpose is to create a community of writers that will continue the historical heritage of poetry, story telling, reading and writing. We will provide another square in the quilt of oral history that will be passed to future generations.
