The Geography Zone is brought to you by the people of A Broader View. The mission of A Broader View is to put a stop to geographical ignorance throughout the world, and every project they take on is part of their continuing efforts to achieve this goal.
With The Geography Zone, A Broader View intends to increase the focus in the subject of geography in classrooms since many schools have limited geography curriculum, or have eliminated it completely due to lack of funds and/or interest. Now, they have created a new and improved version of their online quiz, the Geography Challenge. Historically, students have found geography to be monotonous and dull, and with GeographyZone.com, students now have the opportunity to participate in a fun activity while at the same time promoting higher achievement and awareness of the subject of geography.
A Broader View has redesigned GeographyZone.com so that government officials, principals, and teachers will be able to sign on school districts, schools and classrooms respectively. And, the quizzes/challenges of the GeographyZone.com will be inline with the core curriculum of the federal and state government. In addition, GeographyZone.com allows for cooperative involvement from teachers, students and parents.
