Additional Information

The Germanische Glaubens-Gemeinschaft (GGG) [Germanic Faith Community] is a heathen religious community registered as association, which was founded at the same time in 1907 as the "Deutsch-religiöse Gemeinschaft" and "Wodangesellschaft" were founded. In the year 1908, the community-own Cult place Hermannstein in Upland was inaugurated. In the year 1913, the two communities united and gave themselves the name it still has to this day. Other communities were added, and the GGG became the heathen community with the most members in Germany and Austria recognized by the state. In all of Europe, the GGG founded national municipalities and agencies. Only under the rule of the National Socialist party was the development of the GGG prevented. Open GGG meetings were forbidden, one of the founders and chairmen of the community, the painter and poet Professor Ludwig Fahrenkrog (1867-1952) received an exhibition prohibition and searches of his house took place. However, after the war there was a new start for the GGG.
