Title edit
Welcome to Girl Scouts, Land of Lincoln Council
Description edit
In July 1924, the initial Girl Scout charter was issued. We were incorporated in 1933. The Council was named "Land of Lincoln Girl Scout Council" when a merger between Logan County and Taylorville occurred in March 1954. Carlinville merged with the Council in 1967.
Today, we are incorporated as Girl Scouts, Land of Lincoln Council and are located in Springfield, Illinois. We are governed by a Board of Directors of 24 members who are elected by a Council delegate body of approximately 90 adult volunteers and older girls. We are chartered by the Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA).
Girl Scouts, Land of Lincoln Council serves over 5,000 girls and 1,400 adults in Sangamon, Christian, Logan, Macoupin, Mason, Menard, and Montgomery Counties.
