- I (Ruth) have been a picture framer for nearly 20 years (sometimes seems a lot longer!). In April 2000 I became a 'Guild Commended Framer' from the 'Fine Art Trade Guild', which means that the quality of my picture framing has to maintain certain standards, especially with valuable items and I use only conservation quality mountboards and materials.
