GNN - Government News Network

Description

The Government News Network is a service of COI communications and provides the regional arm of Government communications serving the English Regions, Scotland and Wales.

We support Government Departments in Whitehall and elsewhere and Government Offices for the Regions in their co-ordination and policy delivery programmes. Through the News Distribution Service (NDS), we issue government news releases and media information.

Headed by Rob Haslam, who is a member of the COI Management Board and reports to its Chief Executive, Alan Bishop, the GNN comprises 130 press and publicity officers advising Government and working on the regional delivery of national campaigns so that the media and public in all parts of the country are informed fully about Government activity. There are also 10 staff in NDS handling news distribution.
