Description
We began outfitting river trips in 1978 using the name Outdoor Adventures. We outfitted trips in California, Idaho and Oregon and www.GoRafting.com was our web address. As the internet grew in popularity and became the primary source for vacation, recreation and travel information, we realized that our name made it difficult to find us. Searching for trips under the name Outdoor Adventures produced too many results and we couldn't distinguish ourselves from the 200+ firms using that name, or some variation of the name.
The solution was to separate the company into individual entities with each having its own website, new name and local managers. We created three new outfits each headquartered near their respective river. We're still running the same great rivers with the same terrific guides. We've just changed the name of each operation.
