Many Vietnam vets were spat upon on their return home, called names and ignored. Unlike today’s Army, most of them were draftee’s and had no choice (unless they were someone who thought so little of their country that they became a runner). Today, even though there are many who did not and do not support the war, nearly everyone recognizes the sacrifice and bravery of our troops fighting for us now.
