A Little About Me
This web site is not about me, but most of us when we visit a site are curious about who is behind it. So here is a little information about me.
My name is John Gedbaw. I do not work in any ministry, but I have a background in religious studies. I attended Catholic seminaries from 1963 to 1972, and I earned a Masters degree in theology at the University of Louvain, Belgium. I was ordained a Catholic priest in 1972, and I served as a parish priest for two years. I was not in the ministry very long before I realized that I was not going to make it as a priest. After much anguish over my vocation, I left the priesthood in 1974. I married the following year, and by 1982 my wife Patricia and I had three beautiful sons. I started working for the U.S. Social Security Administration in 1975, and I am now retired.
Patricia is an elementary school teacher. She has taught children for many years. She loves her work and she is very good at it. Our sons are now in their twenties, and they are more or less on their own. When they were younger, we had a beautiful golden retriever named Pardner, who was very much a part of our family.
