- The Institute for Benin Studies welcomes you to its website. Requests for information are received from time to time on Benin and Edo people and such information seekers were usually replied through mail or referred to the Institute’s Library in Benin City. Though the need for a website to ease the work of both the institute and researchers was long realized, it could not be provided because of the dearth of funds. The owners of the Edo Nation website rescued the institute in this regard by creating a section for the Institute’s activities on their website. That gesture went a long way in publicizing the Institute. Like many other accomplishments of the Institute, this website has come through the donation of another benefactor Enosakhare Idubor who appreciates the good work initiated by the Institute.
