The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is once again delighted to bring you the Great Welsh Run in the heart of Cardiff Bay on May Day Bank Holiday Monday 1 May 2006.
Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is the UK's most common life-threatening inherited disease affecting over 7,500 babies, children and young adults. It causes the body to produce a thick, sticky mucus that clogs the vital organs making it difficult to breathe and digest food. There is presently no cure for CF and each week three more young lives are lost.
