Greenscape Gardens - garden & landscape design services

Greenscape is headed by Elaine Abell who trained at Askham Bryan College, York, the leading horticultural college in the north of England. She gained a Certificate in Garden Design affiliated to the Society of Garden Designers and in 1998, won a competition to re-design the entrance roundabout to one of Yorkshire's major shopping centres. The winning design was in-line with the ethos of the estate owners, in encouraging wildlife on the site. Elaine has since worked on further landscaping projects for the owners of the estate in addition to designing private gardens. Click on press clipping attached below for more details.
Greenscape is based in York and covers the Yorkshire area. We design all types of gardens from cottage gardens to contemporary, from low maintenance to hobby gardens. Elaine's specialist area is wildlife gardening and she is only too happy to advise on the choice of plants to achieve maximum wildlife benefit and how to maintain your garden with nature in mind (for example, cutting hedges after birds have finished nesting). Elaine will gladly extol the pleasures and benefits to be gained by welcoming birds and other wildlife into the garden.
