.....Garden State Aikikai conducts classes on Sundays at the Cranford Judo and Karate Club. Classes are taught on Sundays by Chief Instructor Scott Whaley who has over 20 years of martial arts experience. Mr. Whaley teaches Muso Shinden Ryu Iaido (a style of Japanese swordsmanship), Aikido and Aikido weapons. He has traveled extensively throughout the world to receive instruction in both arts and has studied under many of O’Sensei’s most influential disciples. Whaley Sensei has conducted classes in various dojos throughout the U.S. and Canada. His primary teacher was, until his death in 2004, M. Kanai Shihan, 8th Dan, Chief Instructor of the New England Aikikai.
