Girl Scouts of Tres Condados is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization chartered by Girl Scouts USA. Girl Scouts is the world's largest organization devoted to helping girls, ages 5-18, build character and gain skills for success in the real world. In an accepting and nurturing environment, mentored and guided by a corps of highly trained and committed adult volunteers, girls develop values, social consciences, leadership skills and conviction about their own potential and self-worth that serves them throughout their lives.
Founded in 1912 by Juliette Gordon Low, in Savannah, GA, Girl Scouting has grown to nearly four million members in the United States, the Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico and more than 80 countries through Girl Scouts overseas.
- The Girl Scout program is an informal educational program adapted to meet the developmetal, emotional, and social needs and interests of girls in the program age levels.
