- Harvest Depot began in 1993 as a part time shop. Doug has always enjoyed motor sports and spent many weekends working on his, as well as his friends, machines. Out of this grew a desire to one day open his own shop. In 1992, Doug and his family bought a house in the country which included a small barn. With his wife and kids at his side, work was begun on the clean up and remodeling of the barn. After much work, Harvest Depot opened for business in July, 1993.
