- Last night, Tuesday, March 13, 2007 my husband and I had the privilege of participation in a Lynchburg YMCA National Swim Team fund raiser. The ten-member team, all who have qualified to swim at the Junior National Olympic Competition in Fort Lauderdale, Florida waited tables at Charley’s for tips. Half of this team, yes, five, where members and/or employees of Hill City Swim and Tennis Club . Family, friends and Hill City members where all there to support these young ladies and gentlemen and I am sure they were just as proud as I was to be part of the Hill City Swim and Tennis Club family. Now, if that didn’t put one in a “pool” mood nothing could.
