Despite the highest health care spending in the nation, Massachusetts has over 700,000 residents without insurance who are often unable to get the care they need and suffer needlessly as a result. This proposed Constitutional Amendment would require the Legislature and Governor to enact laws that make sure every Massachusetts resident has access to affordable, comprehensive and equitably financed health insurance coverage.
