At only 25 years of age, Laura Bentley is one of the Midlands youngest jewellery retailers and the shop she runs with her partner, Daniel Bentley at The Forge in Dronfield is a trend-heaven treasure trove of wild, funky and individual designs. Laura and Dan, who are engagingly enthusiastic about their collection, have hand-picked every item themselves - from pearls to platinum, fire opals to rubies and sapphires - Hebe is glamour and style heaven.
The idea for Hebe was born in 2002 but it wasn't until the Forge Shopping Centre development opened that Laura and Dan's dream became reality. "As soon as we saw the great conversion of this old steel forge building, we knew that it would be the perfect backdrop for our collection."
With an exclusive selection of award winning platinum and diamond rings, HeBe offers an individual design service for 'partners' wedding and engagement rings. The gemstones at Hebe's newly fitted out style-icon shop are specially selected for colour and clarity. Fabulous opals, emeralds, rubies, aquamarines are there to make your mouth water and keeping to the theme of 'something special' there are even rarer gems such as the lovely deep orange Mexican Fire Opals. Hand-picking designer collections takes Laura and Dan all over the world. "We have fabulous Italian jewellery and Murano necklaces from Venice." Award winning sterling silver jewellery set with pearls and gemstones harks back to a time of medieval castles and princesses. Fashion is now treating jewellery like a long lost lover and their latest finds include Morellato. Laura first saw this in a boutique close to the Pantheon in Rome. It's inspired diamonds and leather creations for style icons.
Having studied fashion and design, Laura and Dan began their search for the best in British designs.
"We are privileged to showcase Nick Hubbard's unique jewellery." Nick is one of the most exciting designers around with 'Reach for the Stars' pendants, 'Perchance To Dream' lockets, 'Magical Hare' rings and 'Star Gazing' earrings! The quirky and intricate designs are beautifully hand-crafted in silver, gold and rich enamelling - heirlooms of the future.
With everything from huge pink Sapphire and Diamond rings to folkloric Navajo amulets and zuni fetish carvings, lucky jade charms, men's jewellery, watches, crystals and shells, as well as sensuous platinum and 18ct gold rings - this is jewellery paradise!
