Description

Created in 1994 by Herbalife founder Mark Hughes, the Herbalife Family Foundation is committed to helping children in need by offering support in overcoming life’s most basic challenges, from escaping poverty, hunger and abuse to receiving adequate medical care and education. The Herbalife Family Foundation is proud to introduce Casa Herbalife, a program to ensure children in need are fed healthy and nutritious meals, and plans to launch several of them around the world by partnering with existing charities serving children. This new children’s nutrition program is modeled after Casa Herbalife, an orphanage the HFF built in Brazil in 1998. The HFF is a nonprofit organization supported by Herbalife International, Inc. and its Independent Distributors and employees to help children at risk around the world.

In response to natural disasters around the world, the Herbalife Family Foundation set up special funds from donations made by Herbalife Independent Distributors, employees and friends to support Save the Children and, SOS Children’s Villages and the American Red Cross. From these funds, the Herbalife Family Foundation distributed almost $900,000 for victims of the tsunamis, earthquake and hurricanes that struck in 2004 and 2005.

We depend most on the compassionate support of Herbalife Independent Distributors worldwide and the generosity of our caring global family. Since we began, respected organizations around the world have received more than $6.5 million to create nutritional programs, build shelters and provide education and other services to children in need.
