Marilyn Zink attributes the success of her magazine to persistence, commitment and mostly, prayer. The idea for The Herbal Collective magazine came to her in her sleep five years ago when she was a reporter for the Nanaimo Daily Free Press. The vision made sense. She wanted a home-based business because she was pregnant with her son, Marcus.
She'd already become intrigued with herbs and the research she'd done convinced her that they were a growing trend. So Zink took a leap of faith and literally put her trust in God.
