Visit the U.S. Army Museum Hawaii Here at the U.S. Army Museum Hawaii the biggest artifact is the building itself. The museum is housed in Battery Randolph a massive reinforced concrete implacement with roofs as much as 12 feet thick. The battery was built around 1911 for two 14 inch guns that could fire projectiles as far as 14 miles. It was part of a coastal defense system that was to protect Honolulu Harbor from invasion.
