HitraMat is situated on Hitra - one of the largest islands in Norway. Its rich natural setting is quite exciting. Here we also find sea-farming, other fishing industries as well as Norway`s largest crab-fishing and processing centre. All our crab is caught in the clean Norwegian fjords by professional fishermen using traditional crab-traps. Fisheries and processing of raw materials from the sea have been developed by three generations of owners since 1930s.
